Steph and Ayesha Curry extend a helping hand to 2,000 individuals during their annual Winter Wonderland celebration

During the annual Winter Wonderland festival, Steph and Ayesha Curry assist 2,000 people.

This past weekend, families walked through a winter wonderland with the Currys.

On Sunday, NBA star Steph Curry and his wife, Ayesha Curry, had their 10th annual Christmas with the Currys event.

The Currys assisted families through their organization Eat. Learn. Play. Foundation, which assisted 2,000 individuals in need, including 500 children, during their winter wonderland event at Oakland’s The Bridge Yard.

The Currys established the Eat. Learn. Play. Foundation in 2019 to promote a healthy childhood by battling childhood hunger, giving access to education, and arranging safe areas for children to be active.

Families invited to the event were chosen by the foundation’s partners, which included Homies Empowerment, Black Culture Zone, East Oakland Youth Development Center, Community Education Partnerships, and Oakland Athletic League, according to Good Morning America.

“We love our community and understand that this time of year can be stressful for parents who are already doing everything they can to make ends meet.” Christmas with the Currys is our way of alleviating this burden for Oakland families in need and ensuring they are a part of a community that brightens their season.”

The Currys organized a fun-filled day of activities for the participants, including ice skating, food trucks, sugar cookie baking, sledding, and snowball battles. The guests even had the opportunity to meet Mr. and Mrs. Claus.

The Currys said the event reminded them of “how big an impact the gift of giving can make in one family’s life.”

Workday Chairperson Aneel Bhusri, Olympic champion figure skater Kristi Yamaguchi, and her husband, Stanley Cup champion Bret Hedican, were also in attendance at the Curry’s celebration event.
