Lukaku signed a contract with Roma in the final days of the 2023 Summer transfer window. He joined on a loan contract without a buyout clause.

 

The Belgian striker has shined since the beginning of the season under Jose Mourinho, scoring 9 goals in 14 matches in Serie A and Europa League. He also played impressively in the Belgian national team when he just scored a poker shot in a 5-1 win over Azerbaijan and broke a series of records.

 

However, Chelsea still seems to have no intention of using Lukaku. And they will still look to sell the Belgian striker in the 2024 summer transfer window. According to sources from journalist Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com, Chelsea has agreed to offer 38 million euros for Lukaku in the next summer transfer window.

 

Roma are keen to buy Lukaku permanently after this season and director of football Tiago Pinto has begun looking for a solution in recent weeks. Roma wants to get as much discount as possible.
