Man Utd supporters yell, “Time to see him cook,” as backup goalkeeper Bayindir leaves the bench to play for Turkey due to a possible Onana injury

The reaction of Manchester United supporters upon Altay Bayindir’s substitution for Turkey is unanimous.

Uğurcan Çakir, who sustained an injury during Wales’ Euro 2024 qualifying match at Cardiff City Stadium, was replaced by the goalkeeper.

Although the 25-year-old Bayindir joined Man United in the summer, he has not yet played for the team.

But as of right now, he hasn’t crossed any lines for Turkey.

Additionally, United supporters are eager to see more of the former Fenerbahce player.

“Time to see Altay Bayindir cook,” one person wrote.

Another said, “If Man United fans want to see Altay Bayindir in action he’s playing now against Wales.”

Finally, a third commented: “Bayindir is getting game time vs Wales.”

An additional said, “Altay Bayindir master class.”

I said, “First, let’s take a look at Bayindir.”

Fans of United will be hopeful that the goalie can live up to the hype after Andre Onana’s near-fatal accident.

In the first half, Bayindir did make a crucial save to deny Wales attacker Brennan Johnson’s deflected shot a chance to enter the goal.

Onana is said to be leading the race to be fit for Sunday’s Everton match despite having sustained a groin injury during Cameroon’s match against Mauritius.

According to a Cameroonian football federation statement, “Player Andre Onana, who had an injury during the game against Mauritius on November 17 in Douala, is not a member of the Indomitable Lions delegation that is now in Benghazi.

“A problem in the pubis was discovered by the medical imaging performed by the national selection doctors.

“Fecafoot (Cameroon FA) wishes a speedy recovery to the Cameroonian international.”

Onana is still anticipated to compete in the African Cup of Nations, thus Bayindir will also be looking for some playing time in January.
