In his 11 Serie A games, the 22-year-old has scored three goals and provided four assists. During the November international break, he also scored three goals for Georgia in two Euro 2024 qualifiers.
The existing contract with Kvaratskhelia expires in 2027, and Napoli is actively negotiating a new one. The current Serie A winners, on the other hand, are taking their time, as the 2027 deal for the Georgian wizard already runs until 2027.
But shortly, he’ll get a fat prize for his well-established position in the world of sports. The new contract, which is expected to last until 2028 or 2029, would pay him between €3 and €3.5 million a season, with bonuses potentially pushing that amount up to €4 million. This will be a substantial pay increase from the “only” €1.3 million he is presently making per season.
Even though Napoli is adamant that Kvaratskhelia will remain, prospective suitors will nonetheless conduct due diligence and keep monitoring him. Along with wealthy Premier League teams like Newcastle United and Chelsea, Real Madrid and Barcelona have also been monitoring the winger recently.
For starters, the Blaugrana are without a strong left flank option following their summer departures from Ansu Fati (loan) and Ousmane Dembele. It would be an incredible coup to sign Kvaratskhelia as a long-term option before the 2024–2025 season. However, they will probably have trouble raising the money needed for the procedure.
For the Georgian, however, who has never disguised his love for Los Blancos, a transfer to Real Madrid would be a dream come true. Newcastle, on the other hand, has significant financial power because of its Saudi support. Even if they haven’t had a history of spending a lot of money on famous players, Kvaratskhelia certainly seems like a talent worth deviating from their normal plan for.
Chelsea, on the other hand, would adore having a winger with Kvaratskhelia’s caliber of scoring inside their ranks. Negotiations with Aurelio De Laurentiis, the president of Napoli, are not simple, and it is improbable that he will sell him for less than €100 million in the summer of 2019. With all the money the Blues have already spent on wingers since Todd Boehly arrived, a striker might be more of a need.
