Launch of LeBron James LBJ16 – A Summer Academy for More Than Just Athletics in Paris

“The future is yours, but tomorrow is far away” – a strong statement made by basketball great and philanthropist LeBron James. In order to attend the More Than An Athlete Summer Academy, James recently traveled to Paris. James founded this program in Akron, Ohio, his hometown, with the goal of helping young people realize their athletic and personal potential.

James played basketball with and chatted with academy kids while in Paris. These fortunate kids got an up-close look with “King James” in action. The event’s crowning glory was undoubtedly the debut of LBJ16, James’s most recent sneaker design in partnership with Nike. Fans were nevertheless ecstatic to get a look at the sneaker, even though they won’t be available for purchаse until September 7th.

James, who has always been open about wanting to help others and make a difference, ended his tour by taking part in a question and answer session at a Foot Locker store in Paris. James has maintained his support for numerous issues, including health, education, and community development, through his foundation.
