Messi is said to have rejected more lucrative offers from the Middle East to join David Beckham’s team. And he showed an impressive performance to help Inter Miami win the League Cup. However, La Pulga only scored 1 goal in 6 matches in MLS.

The 2022 World Cup champion always affirmed that he was happy to stay at Inter Miami. But former teammate Sergio Aguero gave him tips for an impressive return to Barcelona.

Previous rumors suggested that Messi might have the opportunity to return to Europe on loan due to the MLS season being on hiatus. But Aguero believes that Messi could even completely break up with Inter Miami to return to Camp Nou. “Leo always says he loves Barcelona; he still feels very attached to the club and this city,” Aguero told Spanish newspaper AS.

Despite the above statements, Aguero clarified that the two of them have not talked specifically about Messi’s return to Barcelona. It’s all just speculation from the former Man City striker. Messi and Aguero’s friendship has been known for a long time. The pair became close when they started rooming together on the Argentina Olympic team.

The Argentine player once shared when leaving the club: “I always say, people don’t know what can happen in the future, but if I had the right to decide, I would stay at Barcelona.”
