The 33-year-old singer turned down a request to perform at the coronation in London this past May, according to author Omid Scobie’s new book Endgame: Inside the Royal Family and the Monarchy’s Bаttle for Survival.

The Grammy winner was performing several shows in Nashville’s Nissan Stadium from May 5-7 as part of her The Eras tour, with the coronation scheduled for May 6.

Scobie wrote in the book that putting up a production for the coronation concert was “a challenge” and that the Look What You Made Me Do performer was not the only well-known figure who declined to appear at the ceremony.

Due to schedule conflicts, Elton John, 76, decided not to perform at the event, a representative for him informed US Weekly. Other performers who were rumored to have declined to perform at the event included Adele, Harry Styles, and the Spice Girls.

Performers that graced the stage during the occasion included Andrea Bocelli, Take That, Katy Perry, and Lionel Richie.

Perry expressed her gratitude for being able to attend the event in an interview with Entertainment Tonight conducted prior to the April show.
