Following his latest round of injuries, Lakers star Anthony Davis recalled the poignant moment he shared with his daughter at home.

The public has always scrutinized Anthony Davis. The Los Angeles Lakers center has endured a lot of criticism over his career because of his persistent ιnjury problems.

AD returned with a bаng this season following another ιnjury-plagued season in 2021–2022. Leading a Lakers team that saw LeBron James enter and exit the game early, he was putting up MVP-caliber performances. Then, in a mid-December game against the Denver Nuggets, he suffered yet another ιnjury setback—a foot issue.

After learning that he might miss several months of the season once more, Davis recalled the heartbreaking situation that unfolded in his home. According to ESPN’s Dave McMenamin, the Lakers player acknowledged that he pouted in a closet at home, worrying his 6-year-old daughter Nala.

“What’s wrong with Daddy, Mommy?,” she murmurs to my wife. Davis thought back.

She’s afraid to give me a hug, even if she wants to. So my wife said, “It’s okay.”

“As soon as I see her, I tell myself to keep my distance from her. However, she approaches me, gives me a brief hug, turns to go, and then returns to her seat, saying, “Mommy, I’ll be right back.” I have a thought.

Davis had already begun to soften his stern expression and revert to his fatherly persona as Nala ran off. He kept his palm over his face on the floor, though, because he was curious to see what would happen when Nala got back.

“At this moment, I’m attempting to behave,” the Lakers star remarked, grinning at how absurd the situation was.

After coming back a few minutes later, Nala put a piece of paper on the pile of garments beside him.
