Onana continuously made mistakes that caused Man United to stand at risk of being eliminated from both European cups

After the 4th match, Bayern Munich secured their spot with a perfect record, winning all four matches. In contrast, Manchester United plummeted to the bottom of the table with only 3 points, trailing Galatasaray and Copenhagen by just one point.

A significant factor contributing to Manchester United’s poor performance in the Champions League was the series of mistakes made by goalkeeper Andre Onana. The Cameroonian goalkeeper committed crucial errors in both losses to Bayern Munich and Galatasaray during the first leg.

In a dire situation for Manchester United, Onana once again dashed the home team’s hopes with his costly mistakes.

In the match against Galatasaray, Manchester United initially had a strong start. In the 11th minute, Garnacho opened the scoring for the “Red Devils” with a skillful play initiated by Bruno Fernandes. Garnacho found himself in an open position in the penalty area, delivering a powerful and unstoppable shot.

Just seven minutes later, Fernandes extended the lead with another goal. Initiating a breakthrough from the midfield, Manchester United’s captain executed a beautiful long-range shot from approximately 20 meters. The ball followed an unpredictable trajectory, leaving goalkeeper Muslera helpless despite his full-stretch effort.

However, the tide turned when Onana’s blunders altered the course of the game. Despite Manchester United’s initial dominance, a stunning free-kick from Hakim Ziyech in the 29th minute narrowed the lead, shifting the momentum in Galatasaray’s favor.
