You could turn the term around and it would still apply to Jrue Holiday, point guard for the NBA’s Milwaukee Bucks. They sаy the best defense is a good offense, but in his situation, it would be the other way around.
Holiday had quite the hectic season, what with the 2023 NBA All-Star Game and all. Lucky for us, he spared a few moments to talk to us about being a Thorne Ambassador and the role our supplements play in his success.
Reputable nаme, seasoned competitor
Everyone familiar with Holiday’s career understands that summer of 2021 was a game-changer for him. He had a role in the Milwaukee Bucks’ July NBA championship run, which was the team’s first in half a century. After a few days, Holiday boarded a plane to Tokyo to compete in the 2020 Summer Olympics, where he and Team USA took home the gold.
During the course of only 2.5 weeks, all while utilizing Thorne vitamins.
The results that Thorne has given Holiday are “just another reason why for me, psychologically, I’ve always taken them,” Holiday adds. “But I’ve been taking them for a long time, and they have unquestionably helped me stay healthy and play well on the court.”
Holiday values his health more than ever before as he enters his fourteenth season. Two of the main reasons he works with Thorne are performance and recuperation – so he can keep playing at his best.
In retrospect, Holiday calls his resilience under pressure from the game “a blessing,” particularly when he thinks about his other full-time job, being a dad.
I am a parent. I enjoy spending time outside playing with kids, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle is crucial, not only for my basketball career but for my overall well-being,” Holiday says.
His personal trainer, Mike Guevara, introduced him to Thorne; Guevara has worked with players in the NBA, on the tennis court, and in the NFL. Holiday has now made Thorne supplements part of his regular regimen.
Creatine and Basic Nutrients 2/Day, which he takes twice a day, are two of his favorites. After a game or workout, Holiday also makes a shake using Amino Complex and Whey Protein Isolate. In addition to his usual regimen, Holiday relies on the Travel Bundle when playing road games and the Curcumin Phytosome when experiencing joint stiffness.*
The NSF Certified for Sport® product collection by Thorne includes all of Holiday’s beloved items. Professional athletes may rest easy knowing that their products have passed rigorous testing to determine that they do not contain any of the over 200 chemicals that have been banned by major sporting organizations. This certification is given by the National Sports Federation (NSF).
Certified for Sport is an initiative by NSF International that has gained official recognition and endorsement from numerous sports organizations, including the NBA, NFL, NASCAR, NHL, MLB, PGA, LPGA, UFC, and WTA.
“We aim for a world where people are healthy.”
Holiday, similar to Guevara, has been disseminating information. Thorne has been highly recommended by him to other sportsmen and teams throughout the years. His wife, Lauren Holiday, is a two-time Olympic gold medalist and former professional soccer player.
He quips, “I do try to get her involved in my things.” His laughter reveals his intention. Having access to such pure and healthy items is a blessing; they do wonders for your health and well-being. Accordingly, why not make use of them?
That Thorne is a regular part of the regimens of other elite athletes and Olympic medalists is very meaningful to Holiday. He claims this proves the purity and efficacy of Thorne supplements, which are crucial for sportsmen.
However, the National Sports Federation (NSF) certification is open to anyone, not only the elite athletes who undergo testing all year round. According to Holiday, not only have members of his immediate family begun taking Thorne, but a number of his former teammates who used the supplement are also using it now that they are retired.
“As an athlete and a human being in general, you only want to put the best in your body,” he explains. “They’re necessary for more than just athletes.”
Jrue and Lauren Holiday put the well-being of their community members first when they’re not playing basketball. Three Milwaukee-area shelters for victims of domestic abuse and those experiencing homelessness recently underwent renovations thanks to their collaboration with Kohler and the Milwaukee Bucks Foundation.
He established the Jrue and Lauren Holiday Fund in July 2020 with the intention of empowering communities via the direct assistance of non-profit organizations and initiatives run by Black people. The fund would receive the remaining balance of his NBA salary for the season, which was over $5 million.
In the same year, he collaborated with Thorne on a line of Black Lives Matter-themed face masks, which Thorne was happy to help fundraise for the Jrue and Lauren Holiday Fund.
Optimal health is our goal. Everyone should be able to have good health, argues Holiday. I can sаy with confidence that Thorne is a brand that will be with me forever.
