Man United vs. Newcastle preview: There is no way back for Erik Ten Hag and his lads

Erik ten Hag and his team need to quickly recover from a draw like losing to Galatasaray in the Champions League.

In the 14th round of the Premier League, the red half of Manchester will have a trip that promises to be difficult at Newcastle United’s St James’s Park. Just 3 days after the disappointing draw against Galatasaray in the Champions League, Erik ten Hag and his team need to quickly revive their spirits with a positive result.

Both clubs took the field in midweek at Europe’s most prestigious arena and were drawn on away soil. However, if English football fans feel sorry for Newcastle United, they are even more disappointed with the “Red Devils”. From playing style, spirit to tactics, the home team at Old Trafford is far behind their opponents in the match taking place tomorrow morning.

Ironically, in the Premier League, Bruno Fernandes and his teammates are currently the club with the best performance in the tournament if counted in the last 5 rounds (won 4, lost 1). To be fair, their opponents are quite weak, such as Sheffield United, Everton, Luton, Fulham. Even though they won, the performance that Manchester United brought to the fans was not really convincing.

“Red Devils” fans can cover up after the snatched victories that the important thing is the 3 points. But when facing strong teams, things are not that simple. If they want to get into the top 4, Erik ten Hag and his team must show everyone that they are worthy. And the encounter with Newcastle United at St James’s Park will help them prove this.
