LeBron James made three consecutive three-pointers, leaving the Lakers bench in disbelief.
In the first half of the NBA in-season tournament semifinals ᴄʟᴀsʜ between LeBron James and the Pelicans on Thursday, James dominated.
The Lakers star was shooting lights out from the field and had a spectacular run of back-to-back three-pointers that he converted.
James had ample room to shoot from beyond the arc thanks to New Orleans, and he did so with ease. The next possession was also buried, so he took a heat check three. At last, the 38-year-old lifted a shot close to the logo and succeeded in taking that one down as well.
After James made his third consecutive three-pointer, Christian Wood and a few other Los Angeles players on the bench were in sʜᴏᴄᴋ. They could hardly contain their delight as the four-time MVP attacked the slack defense of the Pelicans.
After making his final three-pointer, James was spotted pointing at his arm, giving the impression that ice was flowing through his veins. From the bench, Anthony Davis was spotted returning the gesture.
James’s sequence at the beginning of the second quarter eventually produced a six-point swing, which the Lakers extended to take a 13-point advantage into halftime.
James ignited at the ideal moment for Los Angeles, with an in-season tournament championship berth at stake, and his teammates were adoring every second of it.
