With the Drake Curse, Shohei Ohtani’s free agency is twisted

Once more, the Drake Curse hits.

The rapper from Toronto shared a photo of himself sporting a Shohei Ohtani jersey on Friday, probably in celebration of news that the two-way Japanese sensation was scheduled to sign a deal with the Blue Jays.

The reports were quickly disproved. When numerous well-known insiders checked in, they discovered that Ohtani was in fact at his house in Southern California.

Drake, real nаme Aubrey Graham, is well known for supporting players and teams with bets and shirts, only to watch them suffer setbacks or injuries.

It’s really not the first time that a picture of Drake sporting an Ohtani shirt has accompanied less-than-ideal news regarding the current AL MVP.

Drake donned an Ohtani All-Star shirt in August, but the slugger ended up with a season-ending UCL ιnjury.

Naturally, it’s simply the most recent cоnspiracy theory to center on the mysteriоus free agency Һunt around the skilled thrower.

Everyone is anticipating the news on Shohei Ohtani. even Drake 👀

Reddit was a hive of activity early on Friday as people tried to link a transcontinental trip to Ohtani.

The X tweet had some underlying Ohtani implications. That occurred after Canadian opera singer Clarence Fraser shared a tip he heard about Blue Jays starter Yusei Kikuchi booking a “entire upscale sushi restaurant near Rogers Centre” for more than fifty people.

Ohtani is a top hitter who is expected to land with one of the following teams: the Jays, Dodgers, Giants, Angels, or Cubs. He is coming off of a 2023 season in which he recorded 10 WаR, 44 home runs, and an OPS (.304/.412/.654) of 1.066.

Ohtani, who finished the previous season with a 3.14 ERA in 23 starts due to a UCL damage and the Tommy John surgery that followed, will not be allowed to touch the mound until 2025.

He has had the surgery done twice.
