Bruno Fernandes barred from Man Utd’s significant derby against Liverpool, another 7-0 defeat?

Bruno Fernandes is set to sit out Manchester United’s upcoming crucial league clash against Liverpool due to a suspension. While this news circulates, some fans humorously suggest that the Red Devils’ playmaker intentionally earned the suspension, joking that he “doesn’t want to experience another 7-0 defeat.”

The last encounter between Liverpool and United in March ended with Liverpool dominating 7-0, including a brace from Mo Salah, solidifying his status as the club’s all-time record Premier League scorer. Cody Gakpo, Darwin Nunez, and Roberto Firmino also found the net during that emphatic victory.

With Liverpool now at the top of the table after a late win against Crystal Palace, anticipation is high for United’s return to Anfield next weekend. Meanwhile, Manchester United suffered a 3-0 home defeat to Bournemouth, setting the stage for a challenging period.

Adding to the pressure, the Red Devils have a must-win Champions League clash against Bayern Munich this week. Unfortunately, they will face Liverpool without their captain and midfield maestro, Bruno Fernandes.

Fernandes received his fifth yellow card of the season in the 81st minute during the 3-0 defeat, the card issued for dissent. As a result, the Portuguese playmaker is suspended for the Anfield encounter, leaving Manchester United without a key player in a crucial match against their historic rivals.

This devastating defeat caused MU to lose the opportunity to chase the teams above and continue to stand still in 6th place on the rankings.
