Robert Downey Jr. last month added a 3,384 square-foot Malibu mansion to his portfolio for $3.5 million.
The Academy Award nominee, 52, purchased the three-bedroom, three-bathroom dwelling, which sits on 1.3 acres, through his limited liability company.
And in a case of life imitating art, the Iron Man star now resides in a beachside Malibu mansion just like his alter ego in the Marvel series, Tony Stark.

According to Realtor.com, the actor most known for his role in Sherlock Holmes purchased a single-story home in 1972. It features a large sliding glass door that extends across the walls and from floor to ceiling.

Adjacent to the living room, the wood-finished kitchen in this house is designed around a trapezoid-shaped island that features a sink. It features a rectangular backsplash made of glass tiles and two Viking gas range ovens.

This summer, Downey will play the same iconic Marvel character in Spider-Man: Homecoming, which opens in theaters on July 7.
