Following Romelu Lukaku’s brutal tackle that resulted in the Roma player being sent out on Sunday, Christian Kouamé, a striker for Fiorentina, shared images of his injuries on social media.

Lukaku was sent off for a reckless tackle on Fiorentina’s Koaumé in minute 87 of Roma’s 1-1 draw with them on Sunday.

José Mourinho expressed his anger with the referee’s decision on Instagram on Monday, even though he avoided speaking to the media after the game. Mourinho smiled as referee Antonio Rapuano delivered Lukaku a straight red card.

On Monday, though, Italian media accepted Rapuano’s decision as legitimate, and Kouamé posted the wounds from Lukaku’s challenge on Instagram.

The Ivory Coast international said, “thank god,” maybe hinting that the Belgian striker’s tackle may have done more harm to his left leg.
