Lionel Messi Maintains Fitness Routine at ‘Glute Lab’ with Wife Antonela and Trainer Bret Contreras, While on Offseason with Inter Miami in the MLS

During the Major League Soccer offseason, Lionel Messi is staying active by working out once more with his wife Antonela and her personal trainer Bret Contreras.

Messi, 36, was spotted working out in the gym earlier this month with Contreras, the physical therapist well-known for his variety of glute exercises.

In the past, Antonela has snapped pictures with fellow Miami wag Elena Galera, the wife of Messi’s teammate and close friend Sergio Busquets, inside Contreras’ gym, also known as the “Glute Lab.” Since coming to the US, both ladies have been staying in shape with the self-described “booty trainer.”

Additionally, Messi seemed to have worked out at the Glute Lab on Friday with both his spouse and Contreras in order to stay in shape nearly two months ahead of the start of the new MLS season.

Conteras provides guidance on ‘building your booty’ with as little as three hours of labor each week on his website, ‘Booty by Bret’.

His personal and professional Instagram account, @BootybyBretofficial, is likewise replete with fitness-related guidance.

Galera and Antonela visited the Glute Lab, where Galera took a mirror selfie in the Miami gym with Messi, 35, when Messi was away on international duty with the Argentina soccer team.

In the past, Roccuzzo has shared photos from Contreras’s Miami gym, often referred to as the “Glute House,” where she has been working out since coming to the country.

After joining Miami in July and leading the team to their first-ever trophy just one month later, Messi is getting ready for his first full season with the team.

After joining Inter in the midst of the 2023 Major League Soccer season, the 2022 World Cup winner—who won his seventh Ballon d’Or award last month—immediately helped the team to a historic League Cup victory.

Messi led the Herons to a 12-game winning streak and the US Open Cup final during his debut half-season, scoring 11 goals in 14 games.

The Ballon d’Or icon has also been said to have purchased a large new mansion in Fort Lauderdale for $10.75 million. The estate boasts 10 bedrooms, a jacuzzi, two boat docks, and a swimming pool.

After joining Inter Miami in the summer, Messi, who inked a two-and-a-half-year contract worth $50–60 million a season in Major League Soccer, has been aiming to increase the size of his real estate holdings.

He reportedly previously had two other condos in Sunny Isles Beach in addition to his opulent $9 million Miami condominium. However, he was recently seen house searching in the Boca Raton neighborhood with his spouse Antonela Roccuzzo and their son Thiago.

However, Messi has now given his approval for a brand-new 10,500 square foot home in the gated town of Bay Colony, which is a floating suburb north of Fort Lauderdale.
