Miami’s preseason schedule appears to be set.

The team revealed the fifth and maybe last game of its 2024 preseason trip on December 15. On February 7, the Herons and Vissel Kobe will play an exhibition match that will bring the Barcelona trio back together with former teammate Andrés Iniesta.

Inter Miami stated in the press announcement for the game that “Vissel Kobe is the former club of fútbol legend Andrés Iniesta.”

“The legendary midfielder from Spain will be in attendance at the event, where he will be reunited with fellow legends of the game and longtime teammates, Lionel Messi, Sergio Busquets, and Jordi Alba.”

Miami will play in a number of eagerly awaited games, not just one.

Tickets for Inter Miami sold out in minutes.

The February 4th friendly between Inter Miami and the Hong Kong All-Stars sold out in less than an hour, according to the South China Morning Post.

According to the Post, “after selling out in less than an hour of going on sale to the public, tickets for the February football game between Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami and the Hong Kong Team [HK League All-Stars] were listed online for as much as HK$12,000 (US$1,537) a pair.”

Considering that Miami is an American team, this accomplishment is remarkable.

Even with Messi on the team, Major League Soccer teams don’t often travel these distances. A lot of Miami fans are wary of the trip distance. Over a two-week period, the Herons will play many games in three different countries. Miami manager Tata Martino will probably rotate the team to ensure everyone gets enough sleep in order to prevent weariness.

Furthermore, Miami will have the depth and talent it needs to get through the demanding preseason schedule thanks to the possible additions of Luis Suárez and Julian Gressel.

In the end, there is a lot of demand to see Messi in person. To satisfy the need, Inter Miami will have to travel across the world in an appeal.

Overall, it will be worthwhile if these preseason games enable Miami to regain maximum condition.
