Chelsea injury update ahead of Sheffield United

The club has confirmed that Marc Cucurella, Reece James, and Robert Sanchez will be sidelined following medical assessments this week.

All three players had to be substituted during Sunday’s fixture against Everton, with Captain James withdrawn in the first half, and Cucurella and Sanchez forced off in the final moments at Goodison Park.

Cucurella is scheduled to meet with foot and ankle specialists for further evaluation, and next steps will be determined in the coming days. Goalkeeper Sanchez underwent assessments on his knee with the club’s medical department and specialists.

The recent injury update comes in the wake of the earlier announcement regarding Captain Reece James, who has been confirmed to have a significant hamstring injury.
