Bruce Willis’ daughter Scout shares a video of them holding hands as they spend Thanksgiving together
Scout LaRue Willis, the daughter of Bruce Willis, posted a heartfelt video of her father holding hands when they spent Thanksgiving weekend together.
The second-eldest daughter of “Die Hard” star Scout, who he shares with his ex-wife Demi Moore, uploaded a video of herself on Instagram Stories of her sitting next to her 68-year-old father, who was recently diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia (FTD).
The video, titled “My guy,” was followed by a picture of 32-year-old Scout putting her head on her father’s hand.
Willis’ family shared in February that he was diagnosed with the degenerative condition that can have symptoms similar to Alzheimer’s, including memory loss and communication challenges.
It’s unknown if Willis’s entire family attended the celebration. Emma Heming Willis, the second wife of “Fifth Element” star, celebrated the day by sharing what looked to be an old photo of the whole blended family on Instagram.
She wrote, “I’m grateful and thankful to know this kind of love,” as the picture’s description. “Wishing you all a Happy Thanksgiving.”
Scout was pictured with her half-sisters Evelyn, 9, and Mabel, 11, as well as her sisters Rumer, 35, and Tallulah, 29. Moore was spotted with Heming Willis, who wed the action actor back in 2009.
Given that Rumor is pregnant, the image looks to date from either early 2023 or late 2022. After giving birth to her daughter in April, Willis’ oldest daughter posted a picture of herself on social media on Thanksgiving that did not seem to show that she was pregnant.
Since announcing in a statement in March 2022 that he was “stepping away” from acting, Willis’ family has been providing regular updates regarding his health.
The actor was initially identified as having aphasia, a disorder that can result in speech loss as well as trouble writing and comprehending words. Then, in February 2023, his family declared that he had been diagnosed with FTD and that his health had gotten worse.
When questioned about her father’s health during an appearance on “The Drew Barrymore Show” earlier this month, Tallulah, Scout’s younger sister, said, “He is the same, which I think, in this regard, I’ve learned is the best thing you can ask for.”
The Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration states that the illness has no known cure.
Willis’ family declared in June 2023 that they “will never lose hope” that dementia would one day be cured by science.
