Chelsea picked up a much-needed win by defeating Sheffield United 2-0 at Stamford Bridge. First of all, Cole Palmer opened the scoring with a shot from Raheem Sterling’s cross.
Nicolas Jackson doubled the advantage when he had a simple shot into an empty net. However, Jason Cundy, co-commentator of Chelsea’s official news report, specifically praised Moises Caicedo after yesterday’s performance.
The 22-year-old midfielder really controlled the game and caught the eye against a Sheffield United team that was at the bottom of the table. Specifically, former Blues star Cundy shared, citing source Thechelseachronicle:”I want to say that this was Caicedo’s best match in a Chelsea shirt. Caicedo had a very excellent match.”
There will always be a lot of talk surrounding Caicedo because of his £115 million price tag, but it seems like week by week the Ecuadorian midfielder is gradually starting to perform better. John Obi Mikel also previously expressed his opinion that Caicedo will play well for Chelsea.
