Bruce Willis’ daughter Rumer reveals how her dad inspired her baby girl’s unique name
During an Instagram Q&A on Tuesday morning, Rumer Willis shared the inspiration behind her daughter Louetta’s name. Rumer, the 35-year-old actress, and her boyfriend, Derek Richard Thomas, were asked by a fan how they chose the name for their eight-month-old. Rumer explained that the name is a combination of things that she loves.
“I’ve always had a fondness for the name Lou, whether it’s for a boy or a girl,” Rumer said. “But when we found out that she was a girl, we decided on Louetta.” The star of “What Lies Ahead” further elaborated that they wanted a unique name that incorporated the beloved name Lou while still being distinctive and fitting for their daughter.
She continued: ‘She continued: ‘We wanted to give her options and me and my dad’s favorite singers are Lou = Louie Armstrong, Etta = Etta James, Isley = Isley Brothers.’
In a heartfelt homage to her father, the renowned actor Bruce Willis, Rumer Willis disclosed in an Instagram Q&A on Tuesday morning how her daughter Louetta’s first name was inspired by him.
She also posted a cute picture of herself in bed kissing Louetta, whose middle name is Isley.
Additionally, Rumer disclosed that she desired to be a mother to five or six children, or ‘as many that want to come in and have’ her as ‘their mama.’
‘Every time with her is fantastic, but when she smiles at me it’s the sweetest feeling in the world,’ Rumer exclaimed when asked about her favorite part of becoming a mother.
The actor, who debuted in the 1995 coming-of-age film Now and Then opposite her mother, also disclosed to her fans that she put on 40 to 45 pounds while pregnant.
Rumer also sent her father a “rare photo” of her when she was a baby, in which she was peacefully dozing off on his naked chest.
Rumer said on social media last month that she was “really missing” her dementia-stricken father.
The 68-year-old Die Hard actor’s health is claimed to have deteriorated dramatically in recent years due to his aphasia and dementia difficulties.
Bruce’s formerly addictive “joie de vivre is gone,” according to Glenn Gordon Caron, the creator of his iconic television series Moonlighting, who stated as much in October.

Though there have been sporadic updates on Bruce from Rumer, her siblings, her mother Demi Moore, and Bruce’s wife Emma Heming Willis, there have been relatively few specifics provided regarding his physical and mental health.
Caron revealed that although Bruce is still able to connect on a human level, his charm has been diminished due to his dementia and related linguistic problems, following his recent reunion with his former star.
In a heartbreaking interview with the New York Post, he stated, “My sense is the first one to three minutes he knows who I am.” “He’s not completely verbal; he used to read a lot but he stopped reading recently and didn’t want people to know that.”
Caron, who is also credited with developing the television show Medium, continued, saying, ‘He no longer has access to all those language talents, but he’s still Bruce.

The Make Time Wellness founder closed by saying she has more hope now than when the Die Hard star was first diagnosed.
