In a poignant moment following the Chelsea v Newcastle match earlier today, Enzo Fernández was captured on camera with tears in his eyes. Despite playing only 31 minutes in the first half, Enzo was substituted.

 

Fortunately, after the match, Coach Mauricio Pochettino confirmed that Enzo had a fever and was fatigued:

“He had a slight fever before the match. Even so, he still tried because he wanted to play this important match to see if it was okay. But he was quite tired so I replaced him.”

 

Enzo must be feeling a mix of sadness and disappointment for missing out on this significant match with Chelsea. However, the coach’s confirmation sheds light on the valid reason for his substitution.
