D’Angelo Russell’s Puffer Outfit Steals Spotlight, Fans Compare it to Missy Elliott’s Style in ’97

Fans are more interested in D’Angelo Russell’s puffer jacket than in his two points during the Lakers’ loss to the Bulls: “Looking like Missy Elliott in ’97”

Against the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday, D’Angelo Russell had a terrible game, scoring only two points in 28 minutes. But more than his subpar performance, the focus of the evening was his attire.

An Instagram user named “leaguefits” shared a photo of Russell walking into the United Center in Chicago. He was dressed in puffer pants and a puffer jacket. In addition, he wore a black boot that matched his attire.

But, fans may have forgotten (or at least partially forgotten) about Russell’s two-point performance after discovering his unconventional attire on Instagram and started making fun of the LA Lakers player.

One of the fans commented that the puffer pants ought to garner more attention than the puffer jacket.

“forget a puffer jacket, where y’all puffer pants at?,” remarked an admirer.

Another admirer was unreserved in criticizing Russell’s attire.

The fan’s distaste for the ensemble was exceeded. The fan said, “We are irritating.”

A humorous meme made fun of Russell by drawing comparisons between his ensemble and Missy Elliot’s from the 1997 album Supa Dupa Fly.

Russell only made 1 of 6 field goals and 0 of 4 shots from beyond the arc, for just 2 points. In the contest, he also got one rebound and two assists.

Lakers give D’Angelo Russell a strong push for a trade.

The Lakers have reportedly been attempting to press for a deal including D’Angelo Russell. According to Jovan Buha and Darnell Mayberry of The Athletic, the Lakers are open to trading Russell for Zach LaVine, but maybe not for much more.

Following their second straight defeat, which came against the depleted Chicago Bulls, the Lakers appear to be in d𝔦re need of improving their roster. They are reportedly prepared to negotiate trading Rui Hachimura and one or two first-round selections as well.

In recent months, the Lakers have not been making trade offers for LaVine, whose value has declined.

The Lakers may need to mix up their squad more than they may have anticipated if they get LaVine. They won’t just lose one or two players.

The Lakers have been struggling lately, especially after taking first place in the In-Season Tournament. It isn’t the case that LeBron James and Anthony Davis aren’t performing; they have lost three straight games.

They really do need a third offens𝔦ve standout, like as LaVine. But the issue still stands: will they shuffle LaVine’s roster?
