During the Christmas season, LeBron James often assumes the role of Santa Claus. In December in particular, the generosity of the Los Angeles Lakers great benefits a plethora of charitable endeavors. Whether it’s to a group of schoolchildren or a family, “King James” has never been shy about showing his generosity.
The Ohio State basketball team received a unique gift from the four-time MVP and Nike. They sent the Buckeyes players sneakers a few days before Christmas.
Following receipt of the presents, the school made the following announcement on Instagram:
“@nikebasketball and @kingjames surprised us with some holiday gifts”
These sneakers were limited edition takes on the newest LeBron James models. You can get the LeBron XXI Ohio State PE in five eye-catching colorways. One has a mostly red color scheme with a touch of white. However, in a different one, the white is larger and more noticeable, though the color mixing is otherwise same.

The mentioned university has hosted multiple visits by LeBron James. He uses it as a means of spreading holiday cheer to collegiate basketball players, as he is originally from Akron, Ohio.
James might potentially pull the same stunt for USC, the school his eldest son Bronny plays for. Whatever the case may be, word will go out to the general population.

In Thursday’s 118-111 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves, LeBron James was unable to play for the Los Angeles Lakers. Due to tendinopathy in his left ankle, he was confined to a chair. “King James” has missed two of the Lakers’ last five games, increasing his absence from the court from one in their first twenty-four games to three.
Both of the games he didn’t get to see were in a back-to-back set. He may be available on Saturday as Los Angeles did not play on Friday. If James does not play, Jarred Vanderbilt may get the start for the Lakers.
