The hitmaker’s public appearance came just a few days after it became known that she and her longtime partner Bryan Tanaka had broken up.

The forty-year-old creative director and the composer first connected in 2006 when he agreed to be one of her backup dancers.

Carey started dating the prominent member of the entertainment sector in 1998 after being married to Tommy Mottola for nine years, then to Nick Cannon for eight years, during which time she had her children.

Last week, it was made public that the couple had officially called it quits. People also stated that the singer’s family usually spends the holidays in Aspen, and the creative director had not traveled with them.

According to a source who recently spoke with Page Six, Tanaka and Carey broke up because “he wants to have a family.” She is not at that point.

As of right now, neither the creative director nor the performer have disclosed their relationship status to the public.
