The ‘Reverse Grinch’ Nike Kobe 6 Protro is set to drop on Friday, December 15, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. EST. On December 5th, the basketball sneakers were released on the Nike SNKRS app in a limited-edition . Taking part in the drop was limited to a select group of customers.
Replicating Bryant’s original Christmas Day Kobe 6, the Kobe 6 Protro “Reverse Grinch” is a reissue of the shoe. The iconic Dr. Seuss character served as inspiration for these sneakers, which have a verdant upper with red details. The sneakers are now unavailable on most platforms, despite having a selling price of $190.
During the Celtics’ victory over the Lakers, Jaylen Brown and LeBron James had a collision.
After a collision with LeBron James in the second quarter, Celtics forward Jaylen Brown headed to the locker room during their victory against the Lakers. James was trying to make a defensive play when he kneed Brown as he was making his way to the basket.
This meant Brown would sit out the remainder of the second half. But after returning for the second half, he played 33 minutes and scored 19 points.
The Celtics’ 126-115 victory demonstrated their team strength in spite of the incident and Brown’s eventual withdrawal. Despite the defeat, LeBron James recorded a triple-double. His final stats were 16 points, 9 boards, and 8 assists. In Christmas Day contests, he shot 5-for-14 and dropped to 10-8 career.
