The neighbor of Lionel Messi has reported a $25 million increase following the eight-time Ballon d’Or winner’s transfer to Inter Miami.
After leaving Paris Saint-Germain on a free agent contract, Messi signed a two-year contract to join David Beckham’s team back in July.
The Argentine receives a $12 million base pay in addition to $8.4 million in bonuses and signing-on fees.
Of course, he also has a special deal that allows him to profit from sales of Adidas shirts as well as from Apple TV subscriptions to the MLS Season Pass.
Messi led the Herons to their first-ever title when they won the Leagues Cup, scoring 11 goals in 14 games.
Messimania went berserk and produced a unique kind of hype about ticket demand, but it appears that the 36-year-old wasn’t the only one to benefit.
According to Fort Lauderdale-based podcaster and entrepreneur Patrick Bet-David, Messi resides next to him.
When the Barcelona icon first relocated to Miami, he was living in his beachfront condo. However, in September, he purchased a $10.75 million (£8.5 million) estate in Bay Colony.
Bet-David claims that because property values have skyrocketed, Messi’s move has benefited him financially.
Bet-David told VladTV, “As of right now, given the current situation, I’ve already made $25 million in equity on the house I own.”
Messi recently moved in next door to my house. Everyone aspires to live in our neighborhood.
It’s a gated community on an island with only one entrance; it’s extremely secure and safe. With God’s grace, it still is. Everyone is fricking’ coming on their boats to gawk at the houses now that Messi is there. We’re managing fairly well.
Messi has ten bedrooms, nine bathrooms, a spa room, two boat docks, a swimming pool, and a balcony at his home, where he resides with his wife Antonela and their three boys.
The DRV PNK Stadium, the home field of Inter, is 15 minutes’ driving away from the property.
