American professional basketball player Anthony Marshon Davis Jr. presently plays for the National Basketball Association (NBA). His position on the Los Angeles Lakers is center, although he can also play power forward.

In addition to being chosen seven times to participate in the NBA All-Star Game, he has been named three times to both the All-NBA Defensive Team and the All-NBA First Team. He also competed for the United States National Team in 2012, which won the gold medal at the Olympics. He played with both the New Orleans Hornets and the Pelicans from 2012 to 2019.

He was signed to a contract by the Los Angeles Lakers in 2019, who became his new team. Anthony Davis’s body is covered in numerous original tattoos. 1. ‘Mamba’  Tattoo

Tattoo: Anthony has a black mamba snake wrapped around a shield emblem tattooed on his right leg.

The late Kobe Bryant, who went away not too long ago, developed the emblem, which represents a swσrd that is hidden behind a sheath. “The swσrd is the undeveloped talent that lies dormant within a person, and the sheath is the effort that a person puts forth to develop his talent,” is a quote attributed to Kobe. When Kobe Bryant was an NBA player, he was known as “the black mamba.” Anthony chose to pay tribute to the legendary Kobe by getting this tattoo.

2. Portrait Tattoo

Tattoo: The All-Star’s right shoulder is covered in a tattoo of an elderly man with the words “REST UP” above and “Champ” below the picture.

Meaning: Anthony’s life has a particular significance for this tattoo as well. Anthony’s maternal grandfather, Lamont Eberhardt, is the man pictured. Although Lamont passed away in 2010, Anthony looked up to him as a mentor. Together, the phrases make up the phrase “Rest Up Champ,” which was Anthony’s way of honoring his mentor because he had always called Davis “Champ.” Davis mentioned Lamont and remarked, “I looked up to him.” I used to visit his house every day, and all we would do was talk basketball. He pushed me all the time. He spoke about Kobe, Kobe, Kobe all the time. He was continually pressuring me to get out there and, rather than telling me to improve, to follow in some of his footsteps.

3. ‘Chicago’ Tattoo

Tattoo: Anthony has a tattoo of the word “Chicago” on his right bicep, with the smaller number 1993 placed directly beneath it.

Meaning: Chicago was the place of Anthony Davis’ birth on March 11, 1993. The tattoo symbolizes both his birth year and the city in where he was born. “I got it because I love my city and where I’m from, knowing that I wouldn’t be where I am without the city of Chicago,” Davis stated in reference to the tattoo.

4. Baby Girl Tattoo

Tattoo: A big tattoo of a little baby girl with two rose petals tattooed over her head covers the inside side of his left forearm.

Significance: Having his daughter Nala Davis inked here is another reason Anthony finds this tattoo to be extremely meaningful. In order to express his love for his daughter with his fiancée, Brittney, Anthony got this tattoo.

5. Initials Tattoo

Tattoo: He has the initials “A D” tattooed on the inside of his right wrist.

Meaning: It’s a big cry from the majority of people’s perceptions that the initials represent his own nаme. Although the tattoo is an homage to his father, Anthony Davis Sr., the initials do represent the nаme Anthony Davis.

6. Cross Tattoo

Tattoo: Anthony has a cross tattooed on the inside of his right forearm.

Meaning: The tattoo was done to honor a loved one and includes the initials “яιρ,” which stand for Rest in Peace, above the cross.

7.  ‘Stars, Doves, and Nаme’ Tattoos

Tattoo: Anthony’s right forearm is entirely covered in tattoos of stars and doves in various locations, finishing up his sleeve designs. The letters “N, A, L, and A” are tattooed on the outside of his right forearm, beginning at his wrist and going up towards his elbow. A little crown is placed over the letter N.

Meaning: When put together, the letters form the nаme of his beloved daughter Nala.

8. Leg Tattoo

Tattoo:  The right side of his lower right leg contains another large tattoo. The tattoo has rarely been seen and is hard to make out as Anthony keeps his legs covered even in games by wearing leg sleeves.
