For their sixth consecutive win, the NBA-leading Celtics defeated the Spurs 134–101

With 25 points from Jayson Tatum and 24 from Jaylen Brown, the NBA-leading Boston Celtics defeated the San Antonio Spurs 134-101 on Sunday night, extending their winning streak to six games.

Kristaps Porzingis returned from a calf ιnjury to score 14 points and grab nine rebounds, while Derrick White scored 17 points over his old team.

Devin Vassell led San Antonio with 22 points. San Antonio’s Victor Wembanyama finished with 21 points and 7 boards. The Spurs’ losing streak stands at seven games.

With a 12-2 record in December, Boston advanced to 26-6.

Both teams had two days off after their respective losses; Los Angeles had lost 108-106 at Minnesota on Saturday, while New Orleans had beaten Utah at home on Thursday.

It was the seventh loss in nine games for the Lakers, despite 34 points from LeBron James and 20 points and 10 rebounds from ex-Pelican Anthony Davis.

It had been seven days since the Lakers’ 133-89 In-Season Tournament semifinal victory over the Pelicans in Las Vegas on December 7.

Nets 108, Thunder 124

The Thunder trounced the Nets, 4-0, thanks in large part to 24-point shooting and six assists from Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.

Rookie Chet Holmgren contributed 18 points, 10 rebounds, and two blocks, while Josh Giddey had 20 points, six boards, and five assists. With their record improvement, Oklahoma City moved up to 22-9 and secured the second Western Conference spot.

Mikal Bridges led Brooklyn with 22 points, including 15 in the first quarter. He also dished out seven assists and had seven rebounds. Three losses in a row have befallen the Nets.

With 130 Hawks and 126 Wizards

In Washingtоn, DC, – Despite getting off to a sluggish start, Atlanta rallied to defeat Washingtоn behind the scoring of Dejounte Murray (32 points) and Trae Young (40 points) and 13 assists.

A career-best 24 points and 13 rebounds were contributed by Jalen Johnson.

For the Wizards, Kyle Kuzma had 38 points and seven three-pointers.
