The Celtics let the Thunder win by a score of 127–121

The Oklahoma City Thunder are really great. Going into tonight’s game, they were still looking for that one game that makes people sаy “they’ve arrived.”

Don’t get me wrong—their wins over the Minnesota Timberwolves and Denver Nuggets in the past few weeks were great. A win against the Celtics at the height of their power, on the other hand, would be something special.

They got it tonight in a really exciting basketball game between the league’s two hottest teams. The Celtics had a great run, but the Thunder stayed focused and got a tough win.

It began in a mess. There were three mistakes by Boston in the first three minutes of the game, and the Thunder players seemed to pick up a scary number of loose balls. Even though Kristaps Porzingis played well and made two three-pointers in a row, Oklahoma led 31–29 after one. Porzingis had 12 points in the first quarter and 34 points and 10 rebounds by the end of the game.

With five minutes left in the first, Derrick White left the game because he cut his head. He came back in the middle of the second. He helped out six times and scored 19 points.

Even though Gilgeous-Alexander scored 17 points in the first half, Boston was ahead 61–58 at the break. He finished with 36, 7, and 7.

While Jaylen Brown only made 1-8 shots from the field and 0-4 at halftime, he still played better than Vertigo Cube, the halftime pair that did nothing but play with hula hoops the whole time.

At the start of the third quarter, the Celtics shot poorly, and they shot even worse at the end. Their third quarter score was 40–25, thanks to some terrible shooting from Gilgeous–Alexander. Also, they gave Josh Giddey way too many easy shots, and going into the last period, the score was 86-98 Thunder. Giddey had 23 points, 8 boards, and 6 assists in the end.

Oklahoma City made two quick three-pointers to start the fourth that looked like they would win it. After some great play by Derrick White, the score was tied at 8 with five minutes left.

The next few games were some of the most stressful of the season. The Celtics jumped ahead, lost some оffensive boards, and then got a few steals. Then there was a jump ball match between Payton Pritchard and Chet Holmgren, who is 7’1″. Pritchard kind of won it. Holmgren made a lot of threes. Jaylen Brown missed a free throw, and Derrick White made a CRаZY three to give Boston a 27–11 lead. Then they lost.

In Boston, there wasn’t a lot of bad basketball. They moved the ball around pretty well, and the shоts they took were fine. When the Thunder got really hоt, they all went cold.

Brown was also bad. On 4/18 shots, he scored 15 points, but 0/8 from three-point range. Tatum had 30, 13, and 8 at the end, but his team couldn’t get the win.

In a few months, Celtics fans might forget about this game. But this was a big, tough win for the Thunder. I think this Thunder team is nice, and I think Boston will have more fights with them soon.
