According to a report from Fichajes, Chelsea is considering a move to sign Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic as they seek to strengthen their attacking options. Mauricio Pochettino, Chelsea’s manager, is looking for a prolific striker in the winter transfer window, especially with Nicholas Jackson struggling to consistently find the back of the net since joining the club last summer.
With Jackson also participating in the African Cup of Nations for Senegal, Chelsea’s forward options have become limited, prompting Pochettino to explore ways to reinforce the squad this month.
Despite significant spending in the previous summer transfer window, the Blues are prepared to make further investments to secure the services of a lethal striker, with Vlahovic emerging as a strong candidate for a move to Stamford Bridge.
Fichajes reveals that Chelsea has maintained a long-standing interest in the Serbian international, even considering a potential transfer last summer. However, they were deterred by Juventus’ high asking price at the time. Despite the ongoing interest, the Blues face competition from other clubs. Atletico Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are also reportedly interested in acquiring the services of the Juventus forward.
Vlahovic is currently under contract at the Allianz Stadium until June 2026 and is valued at £51 million according to transfermarkt.
