James scores 25 points, and the Lakers b𝖊at the Clippers 106–103 to end a four-game losing run

The Los Angeles Lakers b𝖊at the Los Angeles Clippers 106–103 on Sunday night, ending a four-game losing streak. LeBron James scored 25 points, grabbed eight rebounds, and handed out seven assists. Taurean Prince made a game-winning 3-pointer with 1:17 left in the game.

The Lakers b𝖊at the Clippers for the second time in a row after losing 11 straight games to their rivals across the hall. Anthony Davis scored 22 points and grabbed 10 boards.

At the buzzer, Norman Powell’s 3-point shot went in and out, but the Lakers held on to b𝖊at one of the best teams in the NBA. Aside from that, the Lakers have only won four times in fourteen games since winning the NBA’s first-ever in-season tournament.

The Clippers’ five-game winning streak came to an end. Paul George scored 22 points and Ivica Zubac scored 22 points and grabbed 19 rebounds. The first game James Harden played against the Lakers since being moved to the Clippers was against them, and Kawhi Leonard scored 15 points. Harden also had nine assists. The Lakers have won 14 of their last 17 games.

Neither team had a lead of more than ten points until Russell made his third three-pointer early in the fourth, giving the Lakers a 92-82 lead. The Clippers came back with nine straight points in the last few minutes, and Powell’s three free throws with 2:19 left tied the game. During this time, the Lakers went 2 for 7 and turned the ball over six times.

Russell, on the other hand, found Prince for a big 3-point shot from outside the arc. It was one of Russell’s best shots since joining the Lakers. James made an important fadeaway shot while Harden missed a jumper. With 23 seconds left, Harden made a 3-pointer to keep the game close.

Prince made two free throws, but Zubac scored quickly. With 4.2 seconds left, Austin Reaves missed one of his two free shots. Powell looked good, but he couldn’t tie his tie.

Russell gave the Lakers 13 points and three 3-pointers in his return game after missing three games with a bruised tailbone. The Lakers had not beaten the Clippers in three years until they won in overtime early this season.

The Clippers played their last game as a “visiting” team in their own building, unless they play each other in the playoffs. It was a big moment for the team. The last two games between these two Los Angeles teams this season will be “home” games for the Clippers. Usually, more Lakers fans are at home games than Clippers fans are at home games.

The Clippers and Lakers have shared the building known as Staples Center since it opened in 1999. After years of struggling, the Clippers have finally become a real foe in the last ten years.

The Intuit Dome, owned by billionaire Clippers owner Steve Ballmer, will open in Inglewood next season. This will finally give the team its own place to play after 25 years of living with the Lakers’ title banners.
