Celebrity chef Salt Bae has opened out about the humiliation he suffered on a global scale at the World Cup final last year. Shortly after Argentina defeated France to win the trophy, he surreptitiously went onto the field and pursued after multiple players.
As Lionel Messi celebrated capturing the one major trophy that had eluded him throughout his illustrious career, he seemed genuinely agitated at the celebrity chef attempting to get to him.
In other embarrassing moments, the chef attempted to take the trophy from the Argentina squad while they were celebrating by putting the medal of another player in his mouth.
The 39-year-old, whose real name is Nusret Gokce, has since attempted to clarify his thoughts and declared that he will never again set foot on the World Cup field.
Having lived there, I adore Argentina. He explained to The Times why he attended the game, saying, “I went to support them.”
“A large number of [the team] have visited the eatery.” I didn’t experience alienation. It was a unique occasion. I would never, ever set foot on the World Cup field again, but I can’t change why I was there.

The 39-year-old showed a complete lack of class and cared more about having his moment with the trophy then leaving the players to celebrate
“The World Cup was being watched by two billion people… What is the number of people talking about me? Five zillion. the entire globe.
“I went on the pitch because I felt like it, not because I wanted to advertise.” After that, it was quite unexpected. Even though there were at least another 1,000 people on the field, it appears from the video that I was the only one there.
“I never, ever desired to take center stage.” I was not fond of the attention. I didn’t steal anything or kick anyone.
Social media footage emerged of the Turkish chef frantically attempting to approach Messi, placing his hand on his shoulder, encouraging him to grudgingly shake hands, and then attempting to draw him away once more.
In addition, Salt Bae went up to Angel Di Maria, Messi’s teammate from Argentina, asking him to pose for a picture while they held the trophy together and said, “Wow.”
The priceless gold award created a loud clang as he struck it with a silver ring he was wearing, leaving Di Maria staring dumbfoundedly at him.
It is unclear why the Z-lister was permitted to be anywhere close to the trophy given FIFA’s regulations that only a “very select group of people,” including heads of state and World Cup winners, are permitted to touch it.
The governing organization stated that they were looking into how he entered the field, but they haven’t made their findings available to the public.
Gianni Infantino, the president of FIFA, has been photographed at Salt Bae’s eateries in the past.
