Celtics lose to Pacers without Jaylen Brown

On Monday, the Indiana Pacers defeated the Boston Celtics 133–131. With about a second remaining, Bennedict Mathurin made the game-winning free throws to lead the Indianapolis Pacers to a victory over the Boston Celtics.

Even though Pacers superstar Tyrese Haliburton hurt his hamstring, the team still managed to win. The starting point guard got hurt in the second quarter and had to leave the game. Following Tuesday’s MRI, the team will have a better idea of what’s wrong with Haliburton.

After being fouled in the final second of the game, Mathurin had the opportunity to win it at the charity stripe. On a closeout, Kristaps Porzingis fouled him.

The game was decided when Mathurin, who finished with 26 points, intentionally missed the last shot after making the first two to put the game away. Throughout the game, he made five 3-pointers. Indiana had seven players score at least ten points. Myles Turner scored sixteen, Aaron Nesmith tallied seventeen, and Buddy Hield chipped in fifteen.

At the free-throw line, Jaylen Brown had an opportunity to seize the lead in the final seconds. With 3.2 seconds remaining and the score tied at 131, he was called for a foul while taking a shot. Nonetheless, Indiana was granted possession after the decision was reversed.
