It has been said that the Lakers are supposedly searching for a way to improve their team through trades. They have been linked to Dejounte Murray and Zach LaVine, two All-Star guards, but a deal involving Murray appears to be more probable.

“As the trade deadline for the Lakers’ roster draws near on February 8th, sources indicate that the team is seeking a backcourt player with speed and agility,”

according to NBA analyst Chris Haynes.

A number of teams, including the Lakers and the Raptors, are rumored to be in serious talks with the Hawks over star guard Dejounte Murray, according to competition managers.

Having said that, Haynes did not confirm rumors that Murray was leaving for Los Angeles.

Murray has shot 39.4 percent from outside the arc this season, adding to his 21.1 point and 5.0 assist averages per game. In 2017–18, he was selected to the All–Second Team, and throughout his career, the 27-year-old averaged 1.4 thefts per game.

The Hawks (15-21) had a tough time surviving the month of the NBA season, even with All-Stars Trae Young and Murray playing consistently.

Pascal Siakam of Toronto is a top target for several teams, and Atlanta is among them. On the other hand, a third party could step in and offer assets to buy out Murray if Toronto were to seek additional draft money.

This trade needs a lot of tweaks, but it satisfies the needs of all parties involved (Toronto isn’t interested in Murray).

If Murray is well-received by the Leafs, he and Hunter will be considered as potential Siakam replacements. If that doesn’t materialize, then here is how Toronto can maximize Siakam’s potential.

By deceiving the Lakers, Toronto might acquire a valuable future project in addition to the 2024 draft pick of the Hawks.

Siakam has promise, but he might be worth as little as the first two choices in a deal. The Raptors have a lot of young talent on their roster and might utilise it to develop youngsters like Hunter and Hood Schifino.

The Lakers are reportedly considering trading Murray to the Los Angeles Lakers in order to acquire Levis, but the Hawks are anticipated to provide more value in return due to Los Angeles’ interests.

According to recent rumors, the Hawks are reportedly planning to trade Murray for Rui Hachimura and Levis. This has nothing to do with the Lakers’ plans to increase their revenue with the signing of Levi.

The Lakers and Hawks should have more than enough time to finalize the transaction because the trade deadline is just one month away. It appears improbable that this will ever materialize, but alas, this is only the beginning.

Although Bogdan Bogdanovic’s new long-term contract makes him appear to be someone else, that’s just on paper. The Hawks’ trade return would be doubled if they traded for Capela or Bogdanovic.
