Man United enters the race for the €70 million Barcelona captain alongside Bayern Munich

In recent weeks, Ronald Araujo, the FC Barcelona defender and third team captain, has been linked to a potential transfer to Bayern Munich. The Bundesliga champions, under the management of Thomas Tuchel and the team director Christoph Freund, expressed their interest in the 24-year-old Uruguayan international player.

Despite Bayern Munich’s willingness to pay a significant sum for Araujo in the current transfer window, the move is no longer on the table. However, Bayern Munich remains interested and is reportedly prepared to offer a price of one hundred million euros for the center-back in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Joining the race for Araujo’s signature is Manchester United. According to rumors from Sky Sports Germany, Manchester United has expressed interest in acquiring Araujo from Barcelona. The Premier League club has reportedly made inquiries about the Uruguayan player, whose current market value is estimated at seventy million euros.

Although Araujo had a challenging performance for Barcelona against Real Madrid recently, his age and quality as a player continue to attract interest. A winter transfer for Araujo to either Manchester United or Bayern Munich seems unlikely at this point, despite the willingness of both clubs to make substantial financial investments.

Araujo remains a top priority for Bayern Munich in the summer of the next year, and Manchester United is expected to intensify its efforts to secure his services. Despite growing interest, Araujo has expressed contentment with his current position at Barcelona and a desire to stay with the club where he has developed into a significant player.
