One of the most well-liked athletes in the world, LeBron James is a person that many people want to be close to. A fan climbed over security to get close to the four-time NBA champion during the Los Angeles Lakers game versus the Oklahoma City Thunder.

James was about to put on his warm-up shirt in the video when a fan approached him and attempted to give him a hug. The fan was dressed in a long-sleeved sweater and a bonnet.

The 39-year-old basketball player immediately pushed the fan aside as soon as he touched him on the shoulder. Security moved in quickly and led the fan out of the arena following the incident.

The Lakers avoided a three-game losing streak later that evening with a 112-105 victory over the Thunder. LeBron James made 60% of his 20 shots and finished with 25 points, 7 rebounds, and 6 assists.

Anthony Davis, who finished with a double-double of 27 points and 15 rebounds, was helpful to James. Rui Hachimura scored 12 points off the bench while Austin Reaves and D’Angelo Russell combined for 29 points.

The fan’s attempt to approach LeBron James wasn’t the first. While LeBron was still a player for the Miami Heat, on March 20, 2013, a fan named James Blair ran onto the floor while sporting a t-shirt that said, “We Miss You, LeBron.”

At that point, other security guards hurried to the ground to take Blair away. James, on the other hand, went up to Blair directly, gave him a high five, and gave him an embrace.

Blair was first called a “נαcкαss” for his antics, but the goal of the ploy was to get LeBron’s attention when he got back to Cleveland.
