The red departure: Middlesbrough appears poised to secure the signing of Amad Diallo

Manchester United is resisting a loan request from Middlesbrough to retain the services of winger Amad Diallo.

The 21-year-old has made a strong impression in training and is considered essential cover for key first-team players, including Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, and Antony.

Despite Diallo’s successful loan spell with Sunderland last season, where they secured a playoff spot, he has seen limited action this season under Erik ten Hag.

His return to the Red Devils has been marked by injury setbacks, with his recent comeback in a 2-1 defeat against Nottingham Forest towards the end of the year.

Recently, Diallo used social media to inform fans that he won’t be returning to England’s second division. At the same time, Manchester United is actively considering offers for Facundo Pellistri. While Granada aims to secure a loan deal for the Uruguayan, the agreement is still pending clearance.
