After what was regarded as a successful offseason, many fans were not expecting the Los Angeles Lakers to have the season they do. After an incredible victory in the NBA’s first-ever in-season tournament championship game, the Lakers have had difficulty winning games this season, managing to win just about.500 basketball. Even being the oldest player in the game, LeBron James of the Lakers has maintained his elite level of performance. Due to his extraordinary longevity, he has now faced off against 35% of the players in NBA history.

Despite his high mileage, LeBron James has been one of the Lakers’ few reliable players this season. James has averaged slightly over 34 minutes per game and has started all 37 of his outings. With 52.4 percent shooting from the field, 39 percent from the three-point line, and 72.8 percent from the free throw line, he has been averaging 24.7 points, 7.2 rebounds, 7.5 assists, and 1.4 steals a game.

James is now in his 21st season in the NBA. He has participated in 1458 regular season games and 282 postseason games. Aside from his rookie season in 2003–04, he has been an All-Star in every season of his career thus far.

James has won NBA championships with three separate teams, making him a four-time winner. James’s playing days are unknown, but there’s no denying that he’s still performing at a high level. He has stated that he wants to play in the NBA for at least one season alongside his kid Bronny, and he has a player option in his contract that expires this offseason. After this USC season, Bronny will be eligible for the NBA Draft.
