United’s Unique Meeting with Houston Texans: Hannibal’s Helmet, Rashford’s Kick-Ups

Manchester United players linked up with NFL team Houston Texans in a collaborative event, showcasing camaraderie off the pitch.

This gathering followed United’s 2-0 defeat to Real Madrid at NRG Stadium, marking their sole pre-season loss. The team, including Marcus Rashford, Mason Mount, and Luke Shaw, spent time with Texans’ punter Cameron Johnston and kicker Ka’imi Fairbairn.

Rashford, coming off a prolific season and a new five-year contract, displayed his commitment to improvement by practicing ball control during the meeting. Notably, he engaged in kick-ups with an American football, demonstrating his skills in a unique setting. Meanwhile, young talent Hannibal Mejbri interacted with Texans’ kicker Fairbairn, even trying on an NFL helmet, perhaps hinting at his combative approach on the field.

Despite the defeat to Real Madrid, the United squad used their time in Houston for additional training before returning to San Diego.

As pre-season progresses, the team aims to fine-tune their preparations for the upcoming campaign, with players like Rashford and Mejbri showcasing their dedication both on and off the field.
