Al-Nassr, led by Cristiano Ronaldo, is reportedly considering a double transfer swoop on Manchester United players Casemiro and Aaron Wan-Bissaka. Manchester United, aiming to reduce their weekly salary expenditure by £500,000, has been in talks with Al-Nassr, with the club’s football director, John Murtough, engaging in discussions during a visit to Riyadh last month.
Casemiro, United’s highest earner on £375,000 per week, is potentially on the way out this summer, having been sidelined since November due to a hamstring injury.
With hopes of recouping part of the £70 million fee paid to Real Madrid for the Brazilian midfielder last year, a move to Al-Nassr, where he could reunite with former teammate Cristiano Ronaldo, is being considered.
In addition to Casemiro, Al-Nassr is eyeing United’s defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who currently earns £90,000 a week. The potential transfer of both players to the Saudi Pro League side could result in substantial weekly salary savings for Manchester United.
Following Al-Nassr’s unsuccessful £20 million bid for Tottenham’s right-back Emerson Royal last week, the club is keen to make a renewed effort to secure the services of Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
