Cristiano Ronaldo discusses his favorite foods, including some unconventional yet healthy choices

Cristiano Ronaldo is creating a buzz among fans once again, this time not for his football prowess but for a peculiar choice of accessory – a wedding ring. The football icon recently made a public appearance with a fancy ring adorning his ring finger, sparking speculations that he may have secretly organized a wedding while returning to his hometown of Portugal to welcome the new year 2024. However, the ring has nothing to do with any wedding plans, as it turns out.

According to Mundo Deportivo, the ring is specifically called “oura,” a product of the Finnish company Oura Health. The key feature of Oura is health monitoring, analyzing sleep, heart rate, body temperature, and blood oxygen levels. It also supports users in measuring various fitness metrics, including heart rate, the number of steps, calories burned, activity time, exercise frequency, exercise volume, and recovery time.

In addition to sporting the “magic ring” (an advertisement from the Oura Health website), Ronaldo also attracts attention through a revelation from Spanish nutritionist José Blas at Al Nassr. Blas, who holds a master’s degree in nutrition in Madrid, commented on Ronaldo’s enduring commitment to maintaining his health since the age of 16.

According to Blas, one of Ronaldo’s top priorities is adopting a suitable diet for his physical condition. “We are always looking for healthy recipes, and they can also be prepared from Arabic dishes. We use a diverse buffet, we have two chefs, one international and another local,” explains Blas. “Ronaldo is among the foreign players who have also grown to love local cuisine.

Among the healthiest and most successful dishes of this style are fattoush, a multigrain salad that includes cucumbers, tomatoes, and lettuce, followed by hummus, rice with lamb, and baba ganoush, similar to hummus. But the main ingredient is eggplant.”
