Manchester United is displaying a keen interest in securing the services of Juventus defender Gleison Bremer

Manchester United is eyeing a move for Juventus center back Gleison Bremer in the upcoming summer transfer window, according to reports from Gianluca Di Marzio. Despite Financial Fair Play constraints limiting immediate spending for the Red Devils, the club plans to delay any potential deals until the season concludes.

The pressing need for a new center back arises as Raphael Varane is poised to leave on a free transfer when his contract expires in June, making Bremer a prime target for the management team. Sky Sports’ Transfer Talk highlighted United’s keen interest in the Brazilian defender, with ongoing tracking efforts. A formal offer for Bremer is anticipated from Manchester United in the summer.

While Juventus may command a significant fee for Bremer’s transfer, the 26-year-old has established himself as one of Serie A’s top center backs. Displaying prowess in defensive statistics, Bremer averages over four clearances and 1.5 tackles per Serie A game this season. Additionally, he recovers an average of 5.2 balls per game, posing a threat to opponents with his strength in the box and aerial ability.

Despite signing a new long-term deal with Juventus recently, valid until June 2028, United might need to meet a high asking price.

While Bremer’s market value stands at €50 million, reports suggest Juventus could demand up to €70 million for the talented center back, reflecting their commitment to retaining key players amid their resurgence in Serie A.
