Lebron’s Late-Rise Epic Wins the Lakers Against the Warriors

With a spectacular triple-double performance, LeBron James turned back the clock and helped the Los Angeles Lakers defeat Stephen Curry’s Golden State Warriors 145-144 in double overtime. In addition to his career-highs of 20 rebounds and 12 assists, the 39-year-old scored 36 points.

With only a second remaining, James maintained his composure to make two clutch free throws that gave the Lakers an incredible victory, pushing them over 500 to 24-23 on the season. “It’s a topic I can discuss with my grandchildren,” James added.

Curry, his rival, was as amazing, scoring 46 points in a losing effort after forcing OT with a late layup. Curry said, “We can’t imagine a situation where a game like tonight happens.”

For the Warriors, Klay Thompson scored 24 points, including a stunning three-pointer that forced a second overtime session in the game. Curry then appeared to have won it for the visitors with a spectacular three, but James retained his composure at the line.

Steve Kerr, the coach of the Warriors, expressed cσnfusíσn over the refereeing when his team only made 16 free throws as opposed to the Lakers’ 43. Kerr stated, “I’m not going to comment because I want to be on my best behavior.”
