Vinicius Jr. once again proves that Real Madrid doesn’t need Bellingham all the time

Around 89 minutes, a bunch of fans, mostly kids, squished behind the Real Madrid bench. Their main goal was the same: to get a good look at Vinicius Junior and try to take a picture of him.

He was great again for Madrid, who b𝖊at Las Palmas 2-1 in a close game.

Not long ago, Vinicius Jr. was booed as he left the field after Carlo Ancelotti replaced him. He wasn’t in a hurry because the job was already done.

First, Vinicius Jr. shook hands with every player on the bench. Then, he did the same thing with the coaches sitting on the bench next to him. He sat down with a bottle of water to cool off in the 20°C (68°F) heat of Gran Canaria. It felt like he had just gotten home from a long, hard day at work and done his job.

Though there was still some time left in the game, Vinicius Jr. had already set up his team for a win, which would be their 10th comeback win of the season.

The fact that this one happened without Jude Bellingham, who was grounded, gave it extra value. But it’s important to note that Real Madrid has won all six games Bellingham has missed this season. They have only lost two games. Vinicius Jr. has been the most important player against Braga in the Champions League and Valencia and Las Palmas in La Liga.

Though Vinicius Jr. and his team didn’t get off to a good start, he later admitted on Real Madrid TV, “We started a bit slowly, sluggish, but we managed to change the dynamic.”

At first, Real Madrid looked a little lost without Bellingham. The Englishman’s replacement, Brahim Diaz, couldn’t get into the swing of things. Another player that was changed was Dani Ceballos. At the end of the first half, his pass accuracy rate of 76.9% was the lowest on the team and far below that of Toni Kroos (94%), Eduardo Camavinga (95.7%), and his center teammates.

In the first half, Vinicius Jr. had the best chances. He took a shot that hit the post and tried to lob the ball, but was called offside.

So it was a big mistake when, with Real down 1-0 in the second half, he wasted a great pass from Kroos and great control of the ball himself by trying another failed throw.

But everyone soon forgot about it. After only two minutes, he scored with his left foot after Camavinga sent a beautiful ball over the top. In typical Cristiano Ronaldo fashion, he celebrated for a short time by pointing to the ground as if to say, “I’m here!”

“When Cama gives me the ball, he always tells me I don’t score,” Vinicius Jr. joked after the game.

Even though Madrid had scored, the side was still calling for more. Vinicius Jr. was told not to relax by Carlo, Davide Ancelotti, and Kroos at one point when the game stopped.

He did as asked without complaining. He knew they needed another goal, so he went after it. By the end of the game, he had seven shots, which was more than any other Madrid player.

He tried a few passes with the outside of his boot that looked like they were made by Modric. He kept asking for the ball, and even the crowd at home was αмαzє∂ by some of the tricks he used.

In the 84th minute, Vinicius Jr. made a great run down the field that ended in a corner. His legs were tired. The goal was scored by Aurelien Tchouameni after Kroos swung the ball into the box. The score was 2-1.

Madrid celebrated the great header with all the gusto it earned by running to the corner where their fans were waiting. Tchouameni, Vinicius Jr., and Antonio Rudiger all put their index finger to their heads as if they were showing off how smart they were.

Vinius Jr. said, “The most admirable thing was the desire to come back.” “Until the very end, we never gave up. We always planned to fi𝔤𝔥t.” That is the point. While Las Palmas’s coach Garcia Pimienta was still upset about the loss, he was clear that the Brazilian player was better and more efficient, even though his team had looked like they could contain him for most of the game. “I watched a replay of Vini’s goal, and it was amazing,” he said. “But, of course, the fact that Vinicius only had two chances all game makes me think he was well protected.”Fans moved as close to the field as they could to find Vinicius Jr. after the game was over. As usual, the Brazilian was friendly and took some time to sign autographs and have his picture taken.

He has been hurt twice, but Vinicius Jr. still has 11 goals, one less than Rodrygo (who has played 847 minutes more) and seven less than Bellingham (who has played 806 minutes more). Vinicius Jr. has also helped out with four assists. Every 102 minutes, he helps set up a goal. Las Palmas tweeted a sign about the game early Saturday morning. Vinicius was sitting on his couch at home, watching Las Palmas on a big screen, and telling his mother, “They’re very good. “It was a reference to the term the Brazilian was caught on camera saying earlier this month during the Copa del Rey derby at the Metroplitano. But in the end, Las Palmas were αмαzє∂ by Vinicius.
