”The worst…” – Media slam one Chelsea player against Wolves
It was not a good day at the office for Blues.
The media slammed one Chelsea man as “the worst” player on the pitch against Wolves, following yet another poor Premier League performance from the Blues.

Midweek saw the Blues lose 4-1 on the road to Liverpool. Although their opponents are undoubtedly very good right now, the overall performance was extremely disappointing, lacking both quality and fight.
After Chelsea’s victory over Wolves at Stamford Bridge thanks to a goal from Cole Palmer, Mauricio Pochettino’s team was expected and need to respond.
Matheus Cunha equalized with a deflected shot as soon as the hosts took the lead, and the Blues’ momentum appeared to be gone after that. Just before halftime, Axel Disasi scored an own goal, which meant Pochettino’s team would have their work cut out for them in the second half.
Chelsea had one of their worst games of the season as Cunha scored his second goal of the afternoon halfway through the second half and finished his hat-trick from the penalty spot before Thiago Silva pulled one back late on.
Media slam Conor Gallagher vs Wolves
Conor Gallagher’s Chelsea performance against Wolves was criticized by The Blue Co. Project Podcast on X during the game, claiming he was the “worst player” on display at Stamford Bridge.
“If this manager keeps playing Conor Gallagher, I can’t back him. The poorest player on Chelsea is Conor Gallagher. THE WORSE.”
On a startling afternoon for the west Londoners, CFC Central delivered yet another harsh assessment, labeling the midfield player as “clueless”.
Despite another poor season, Gallagher has been a consistent performer for Chelsea, putting in a lot of effort in the middle of the park and starting 22 Premier League games overall.
Without a doubt, he fell short of his best versus Wolves—though, to be fair, he wasn’t alone in that regard—losing 67% of his total duels. According to SofaScore, he lost his lone aerial combat and only prevailed in four of his eleven ground duels. In addition, Gallagher conceded 11 goals while missing a chance to make a significant contribution in the middle of the midfield.
In terms of Chelsea as a whole, this was just not good enough for too many things to happen, and Pochettino, who hasn’t exactly impressed since taking over the team last summer, might still be questioned. The Blues are mired in 11th position in the Premier League standings, and it appears more likely than not that they will miss out on Europe entirely in these next two seasons.
