The LA Lakers, led by LeBron James, had a successful Saturday at Madison Square Garden as they defeated the Purple and Gold 113-105. James called MSG his “favorite playground” in his Instagram story, indicating that he was excited to play in the Big Apple again even if he was on the other team.

Social media users who follow NBA are now making wild speculations about LeBron maybe hinting at a trade to the Knicks. Others are considering that King James might move to New York following his time with the Lakers if a trade isn’t feasible.

Throughout his illustrious NBA career, supporters of the New York Knicks have probably entertained the thought of LeBron James wearing their team’s colors at some point.

But apparently, they’re not the only ones thinking this way. James told reporters on Saturday that, at one point in his career, he considered playing for the Knicks. Recently, there has been more speculation about James possibly switching teams because he has a player option for the 2024–2025 season.

However, Rich Paul, LeBron’s agent, quickly put an end to any rumors of a trade before Thursday’s trade deadline by stating that LeBron won’t be dealt.

Even if James might eventually become a media darling in New York City, the current situation implies that obtaining King James might not be in line with the Knicks’ current course. Considering how well the team has played under guard Jalen Brunson’s leadership, it seems like signing James might not be the best decision for them right now.
