Suns’ Kevin Durant scores a poster dunk in victory over Bucks, ignoring Giannis Antetokounmpo

During Tuesday’s 114-106 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks at Footprint Center, Phoenix Suns star Kevin Durant dunk Giannis Antetokounmpo onto a poster in the fourth quarter. This dunk could be considered the best of the season thus far for the Suns.

Despite collecting a foul, Durant took advantage of a wide open lane to grab a pass from Eric Gordon and slammed it down while Antetokounmpo’s arm was draped over him.

The Suns had taken command of the game on their home court with an 18-7 run that ended with the dunk.

After a 7-3 run in which he scored all by himself, the Suns star extended their advantage to 15 points with little over three minutes remaining in the first with a huge shot over former Suns forward Jae Crowder and a crucial 3-pointer.

Durant and Antetokounmpo have a history; in 2021, they went all the way to seven games in a playoff series before losing to the Bucks, who went on to win the championship. In the series, Durant averaged 35.4 points per game while Antetokounmpo scored 31.9.

Durant won on Tuesday with 28 points and 10 rebounds, even though Antetokounmpo ultimately prevailed in that series. Along with Jusuf Nurkic’s double-double (10 points and 10 rebounds), Bradley Beal scored 25 points and grabbed 10 boards.

The squad was paced by Devin Booker, who scored 32 points on 12-of-21 shooting.
