‘Sensational’… Jason Cundy seriously impressed by £26m Chelsea star’s display in Crystal Palace victory
Malo Gusto of Chelsea had a fantastic performance during Monday night’s road comeback victory over Crystal Palace.
That’s what Jason Cundy says.
Chelsea defeated Palace 3-1 in the Premier League Thursday night after coming back from behind.
When the Blues eliminated Aston Villa from the FA Cup last week, they played a fantastic match. Fans were therefore quite upset to witness a slow first forty-five minutes versus Palace Wednesday, trailing 1-0 at Selhurst Park at halftime.
But Chelsea’s two central midfielders, Conor Gallagher and Enzo Fernandez, reacted with goals in the second half, securing three crucial away points.
Malo Gusto of Chelsea was singled out by Jason Cundy for his striking performance on Monday night. It was said that the £26 million right-back (Sky Sports) made a big impression on Palace overall. At 9:32 p.m. on February 12, Cundy stated through Chelsea’s 5th Stand App, “Gusto, who’s had a really fine second-half, he’s been excellent.”Later, at 9:49 p.m., he said, “Gusto has been brilliant.” Impressive work from him.
Impressive Malo Gusto
Gusto made an impression for Chelsea as a really bright spark up and down the right, just like so many of his performances have this season.
When he is defending, it is evident that the 20-year-old French player enjoys the physicality and aggressiveness of the game. We’ve seen that most of the division’s wingers struggle to outmaneuver him one-on-one.
Furthermore, the right-back with an aggressive mentality possesses genuine quality in the future. When his cross found Gallagher for his first goal against Palace, he recorded his sixth assist of the year.
Gusto has shown excellent chemistry with Chelsea wingers Cole Palmer and Noni Madueke in back-to-back games. When Reece James does make a full recovery from injury, it will be harder and harder to start him off the field.
Gary Neville, speaking on Sky Sports Wednesday, praised Gusto for his Chelsea performance in the victory over Palace.
